Not My Strawberries!!!

The ONLY item I requested on the grocery list, as my snack, early this week was strawberries. (Im talking Monday, today is Sunday; ok last week) Little sis took her I-think-Im-grown-because-Im-18-&-pregnant-ass, with "our" grocery allownce, without me, to the store. She & live-in bd came back with honeybuns, swiss rolls, fruit rollups, cherry fruit snacks. No strawberries. So, I went to get onions yesterday morning and grabbed some strawberries, too. They’re DEFINITELY worth my $$$ (somebody else paid for the onions). So last night, I head to the fridge to indulge in my “fruit snacks.” OMG!!! No strawberries! So I assumed I was sleepy, high, something. *closes fride, opens fridge, looks again* No strawberries. Ok, lemme check the fridge in the garage. No Strawberries! *repeat fridge action* Still no strawberries! Now I must admit I was pretty upset. I remained upset til a few minutes ago. (Did I mention that I woke up again at to look again, but of course…..No strawberries. *looks again* No strawberries!) I hadn’t had the least bit of desire to get up because…NO STRAWBERRIES!……….Until, I heard my sister come out of her room. She’s on the toilet, good, I have her trapped! I had to get to the bottom of these missing strawberries.
So she said she ate them, she was sorry and felt bad. :( Her remorse made me feel better. Just as when I apologized to my dad the other day, it made him feel better. :) Forgiveness is essential in this lifetime. Forgiveness sets YOU, not the person being pardoned. “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” Although, or rather unfortunately, we tend to think we are holding that person hostage & punishing them with our grudge. Who wants to go into the next lifetime holding a strawberry grudge? Obviously, those strawberries were Not My Strawberries…

p.s. My step-mom walked in with fresh strawberries as I was typing this post. *happy dance*
